What a day!!  After an extremely windy Saturday, Sunday brought calm, sunny skies and the 5th stop on the AWI Qualifier circuit to Thornton, CO.  Turning a disc dog event into a hockey game, Rick Rauwerda and Riff Raff came down from Canada and dropped it right through the American five-hole!!    But the Gretzky-like domination continued as Riff and Rick also won the Total Performance Toss & Catch Challenge.  A smooth $100 went into Rick's pocket.  Wait, into Angelea's pocket, and another $100 was donated in his name to the Western Border Collie Rescue.Local boy Mike Hanson and MAGGey put up a great fight, as did 3 other Colorado teams, hot on his heals!!  Congrats to the 5 newest qualifiers all the way to 9 year-old Nitro Nana and Marie Earle!!  Russ Green and Chris Sexton are the other top 5 teams.  Next event is June 19 in Rochester, MN  We will be running another Total Performance Toss & Catch division, with the winner taking home so cold, hard cash.  Additionally, the Hero DiscGetter will be there, and that was a huge hit in Colorado, making an encore appearance in MN!!  Pictures will be up shortly.
